Welcome, Ruva!

We are excited to announce that Ruva Chimedza has joined us as our newest addition to the MEF staff!

Ruva will serve as the Community Programs Coordinator and is tasked with building and fostering ongoing and new community partnerships. She will also oversee our community engagement and outreach programs including Reading on Wheels (ROW) and We C.A.N. Network Nights.

Ruva is a 2016 graduate of Southern Wesleyan University with a Bachelor's degree in Human Services. She brings to MEF a host of experiences rooted in community activism and social justice. Ruva has served as a Research Intern for the Partnership for Transparency Fund and a Human Resources Intern for Martha’s Table, while in Washington, D.C. She has also found opportunities to serve the community in Montgomery as a Mentor with Carver High School and a Support Group Leader with Women of Refined Gold.
