In the Brain Forest Summer Academy, our classroom assistants are critical to the day-to-day operations of the program. These assistants not only work with their teachers on daily lessons, instructional delivery, and behavior managements, but spend dedicated time with their own breakout groups during the afternoon portion of the day.

Brain Forest Transformational Experience for First Year Teacher
Sebrena Whiting's son, DJ, will return to the Brain Forest Summer Academy for the second year as a rising 5th grader at Floyd Elementary. Last summer, DJ had the opportunity to share his own summer learning experience with Mayor Strange and local media during a televised press conference. DJ's mother reported back how important this program has been to him:
“Brain forest is all about the kids. It’s for the kids. It’s about adapting to them and how they learn. That’s why I love it. Kids learn to be leaders at Brain Forest.”
